BEYOND COURSES
The primary achievement for Dive Professionals is not to train students but to make students into active divers. Our approach towards teaching courses embodies this priority and as such both the structure of our courses, our dive locations, schedule and pricing is done to encourage regular diving.

Dive Locations
Most dive stores will run courses at the closest dive site for their own convenience. Although an additional hour or two by car may seem like a lot of extra time, we have selected fabulous dive sites specifically to provide students from their very first dive with a taste of the best that diving has to offer. The very experience of diving is amazing to many students but to experience diving while exploring fabulous shipwrecks and underwater sites makes the experience complete. Whether doing an open water certification check out dive, doing advanced dives or any of the other courses, we will also select our dive sites not only to provide the environment appropriate to apply the course material but to do so behind a stunning backdrop. We know of dozens of fascinating dive sites and even those who come on multiple dive weekends and participate in numerous courses should rarely dive the same site more than once. All of your dives with a Dive Professional will be memorable not only in the quality of instruction but also the many locations they'll share with you.

Course Structure
Our courses are designed to fit into our dive schedule. Although it is always possible to cover all of the necessary dive skills in a short period, it is our preference to extend classes after open water to be more flexible so that they are done in modules that can be finished over time and so fabulous diving can be enjoyed without any rush. Each dive can be done for as long as the tables permit and the weekends can be relaxed. Experience gained through diving and time in the water is the most valuable and we emphasize and always try to facilitate as much and as regular diving as possible. Courses should complement your dive schedule and permit access to new and exciting locations but should not dictate or fill your schedule. Reinforcing skills learned in class only comes through practice and Dive Professionals not only facilitates the formal teaching of courses but also puts great importance on the time to absorb and apply the techniques you've learned while diving for fun.

Schedule
Our schedule is set to allow new divers to gain experience and, as desired, to participate in subsequent classes for additional training and experience, all the while with the emphasis on continued diving at new and captivating locations.

Price
When a class may be broken down into modules that you'll complete over a time period that may last from weeks to months we will also break the cost down so you pay for the modules when you decide to complete them. This not only makes diving more affordable but encourages you to begin classes and instruction without the rush to finish a class if funds are tight or you are content to spread the class out over a longer period as you gain experience. This approach is also important, as occasionally there may be layers of cost (ie. course, equipment rental, charter boat, car and gas, motel) and by breaking the course fee down we make diving more affordable while still encouraging the gradual development of new skills and progression through more advanced classes. This approach also means that if conditions are not ideal, or perhaps a different site may offer a more interesting dive but not necessarily allow the time to complete a course module there is never any obligation on yourself or the instructor to cover materials. If you are diving regularly, then you will always have a chance to cover the materials on your next dive!
